Electrician Paris 7

Troubleshooting, code compliance, installation: we work all over the 7th, from Invalides to Saint Thomas d'Aquin, with transparent pricing and proper artisan work.

Our workshop is in the 15th, just across the Champ de Mars. Coming to the 7th arrondissement, we're almost in our backyard. To get the full picture of how we work, have a look at our main electrical troubleshooting page.

Yes, we cover the 7th too

The chic addresses and the parquet floors don't scare us off — quite the opposite. There's more room to set down a toolbox, but you do have to watch what you put on the floor.

How we step in for our neighbours in the 7th

Our workshop is rue Viala in the 15th, just on the other side of the Champ de Mars, so getting to your place is straightforward. Depending on the exact address, we should be able to step in within the week without any difficulty.

If it's a real emergency — no power at all, all the breakers are in the up position, and the main isolating switch (the big white box with a grey lever, or the big black one with a red and a black button) is also engaged — then you need to call Enedis. If you can't find the main isolator, well, look harder. Otherwise we'll come, but there's a cost: the call-out is €90 before VAT no matter which neighbourhood, and as mentioned on the main pricing page you usually need to add €30 before VAT for half an hour of labour on top.

Our customers in the 7th: Invalides, École Militaire, Saint Thomas d'Aquin

The 7th means loyal private customers mostly around Invalides and the École Militaire, but it's also a physiotherapy practice on rue du Champ de Mars, not far from the Saint-Pierre du Gros Caillou church where I used to do scouting.

That doesn't stop us from helping other customers in the Saint Thomas d'Aquin area, stepping on a few tourists near the Musée d'Orsay along the way.

We work all over the arrondissement to find a solution to your problem, check your installation and, above all, make it safe.

Electrical safety: prevent before it's too late

According to the French National Electrical Safety Observatory, 36% of electrical fires are linked to "fixed or mobile installations". Without claiming to know exactly what that covers, we'd bet it's either multi-socket extensions stacked one on top of the other, or an actual fault in the wiring.

So pay attention and call an electrician before it's too late. Like in every other field, it's easier and cheaper to prevent a risk than to react in an emergency. We strongly recommend upgrading your panel and your meter while it's still optional, rather than dealing with an installation where everything is dated and no one can tell where to start untangling the mess.

You can always hire a low-quality contractor who hides every wire behind the panel however they please — it'll look clean from the outside. Trust doesn't replace verification, so ask for photos.

Our services in the 7th arrondissement

Beyond urgent troubleshooting, we cover the full range of everyday electrical work in the area. A one-off issue on a socket or a switch, a breaker that keeps tripping, a general power cut that comes back every night: we diagnose, replace what needs replacing, and document the intervention so you keep a record.

For more substantial work, we handle bringing your installation up to code, adding circuits or sockets, the regular upkeep of an ageing panel, or repairs on specific items (electric heater, intercom, water heater). Everything goes through a detailed quote sent within a week of the visit, with a clear breakdown between call-out, labour and parts.

Pricing is the same across the whole 7th — no markup because it's a fancy district, and no surprise on the invoice. We'd rather walk you through the price upfront than argue about it afterwards.

The electrical panel: what we actually check

When we step in for the first time at a new customer's place in the 7th, we take ten minutes to open the panel and the meter, look at the overall state of the installation, and check the critical points: presence of a recent residual-current device, working earth, breaker ratings consistent with the circuits they protect.

This check is what tells us whether a hot socket is an isolated case or the symptom of something wider. It's also what separates a clean repair from one that just sweeps the problem under the rug. With our years of experience on older Parisian installations, we know what to look for — and what's worth fixing right away instead of letting it rot.

Where else we work around the 7th

Our company covers the whole western half of Paris from the 15th. If you live in a neighbouring arrondissement, we also handle electrical work in the 8th arrondissement — Madeleine, Champs-Élysées, Faubourg-du-Roule, Europe — as well as everything around our base as your electrician in the 15th arrondissement. We also work as your electrician in the 16th arrondissement and on any electrical troubleshooting in the 17th arrondissement. Further out is still possible but we'll discuss it case by case, because a longer call-out shifts the price a bit.

For Parisian artisans and electricians, what really matters isn't the area but the seriousness of the work. You'll find plenty of professionals online, some seasoned, some less so; the best move is to get quotes from a few of them and compare what's included in the price. A quick look at our pricing page gives you a sense of the ballpark already.

For troubleshooting in the 7th or a longer-term project, you can reach us by phone or through our contact page. We usually reply within 48 working hours with a slot and a price estimate.
